The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) was founded by the world's largest and most progressive construction companies and national construction associations to address the severe workforce shortage facing the industry and to develop a standardized training process and curricula.
The Contren Learning Series includes standardized curricula for more than 35 craft areas in Commercial, Highway/Heavy, Industrial, Maintenance, Pipeline, and Residential construction, as well as Safety and Management education.
Prentice Hall, the leading educational textbook publisher, partnered with NCCER in 1995 to become publisher of this series. NCCER and Prentice Hall work closely to fulfill their joint goal of bringing together the best resources industry and education have to offer.
